I can’t believe its been nearly a month since my last blog post… time is flying by! I’ve wanted to do this wish list post for a while now as its coming up to Christmas and I have been spying loads of great stuff in the shops that I would love to get my hands on! Unfortunately for me there’s a few bits on the list that I just won’t be splashing out on but sure we can all dream right? There are however some cool affordable bits that I may pick up once all the Christmas present shopping is done (or in the sales when most likely their prices will be slashed 😉 ) And you might find a few nice present ideas in here for yourself or your loved ones this Christmas 🙂
Before I get to the list I wanted to to give a shout out to my good friend Claire. I’d been putting off writing a new post but I have been prompted into writing it after a conversation with Claire over a couple of glasses of wine last night! Claire has to be the blogs biggest fan 🙂 all of my friends and family have been really supportive and nice about the blog, but Claire is proper into it… she’s always asking when I’m gonna write something new, and telling me to just go for it and she’s just dying for me to tell her I’ve finally been invited to something cool as a blogger… I have to remind her that I’ve only written 10 posts and she’s probably the only person who reads the blog lol.
All joking aside, we were chatting about the blog and I was telling her that sometimes I find it hard to get going with a blog post because essentially I have an idea or a thought that interests me, but then start to dismiss it because I think to myself… sure other people probably wouldn’t be interested, or everyone will think I’m just jumping on the bandwagon or copying someone else, or that maybe my post won’t be original enough. These are all things that go through my head and really, the only thing stoping me writing the post is my own confidence and fear of what people will think. I wouldn’t say I’m the type of person who suffers from low confidence per se, but I definitely have a certain fear of putting myself out in front of people in a way that could essentially set me up for a fall (you should see me when someone suggests karaoke, I am literally quaking in my boots!). I guess everyone has confidence issues to a point, but part of my reason for starting this blog in the first place was to push past the things that made me think I couldn’t do something and just share parts of my life and interests with whoever happened to read it. This blog isn’t about having thousands of followers and a blogging career (although that’s nothing to be sniffed at 😉 ), more about letting people get to know me better, sharing stuff with people who have similar interests and maybe meeting some like minded people along the way! Also generally I’m not the type of person who cares what other people think of me or what I do and I have to remind myself of that! So with all that said I’m just gonna take Claire’s advice and just go for it! Thanks chick!
Here’s the rundown of my Christmas most wanted!
Gadgets
In the gadget category I went for 1. The Fugi film Instax mini 90 first. Apart from loving the retro look of the camera, I love the idea of having pictures instantly… I take loads of photos and they end up stored away on my phone and I’d love to be able to have some in the moment actual pictures to pop n the fridge or around my mirror! Next I went for 2. The Amazon Echo and Echo Dot which is kind of the lite version of the Echo. This is a fantastic gadget which is like Siri but for your home. You can ask it for the weather, a recipe or to play music. If you have smart heating or lighting in your home, you can also hook that up to the Echo and ask it to control that! Lastly I went for 3. The HP Sprocket which is a printer you can hook up to your phone to print off your photos. Again this kind of toys in with my reasoning for the instax, I just love the idea of being able to print off your own photos without having to order prints online and wait for delivery!
1.Fuji Instax Mini 90 €149.99 , 2. Amazon Echo and Echo Dot available from the UK £149 & £49.99, 3. HP Sproket €129.99
Makeup
Top of my list is number 1. The Kylie Kyshadow palettes (in both colours because I can’t choose) I have some of the lip kits and they are brilliant so I wouldn’t expect any less from the eyeshadows! 2. is The Balm Mary Lou Manizer which has had much hype, but after trying it out myself recently, I’m converted, it was fab! 3. is the Benefit Brow kit in Bigger & Bolder, I’m a big Benefit fan and have heard great things about their brow products so I can’t wait to try them. Lastly is 4. Tommy Girl. This is just a classic smell that I love.
- Kylie Cosmetics Kyshadow kits Burgundy & Bronze $42 , 2. The Balm Mary Lou Manizer €22.50, 3. Benefit Brows €38.50, 4. Tommy Girl perfume €45.
Fashion, Shoes & Accessories
Up first is 1. This Zara military jacket, I love a good jacket and this is absolutely fab in person. Military is the way to go this season! Number 2. is Leather trousers/ leggings, I don’t know why i’m not on this yet, these should be a winter staple. 3. Are these fab Western style buckled boots, everywhere has a version of them at the minute but these pair from River Island are my fave and only €60! 4. A New bobble hat… its getting colder out and the dog ate the one I most recently purchased 😦 5. Is probably my most wanted item on the list right now, the Micheal Kors ‘James Saddle bag’, its just perfect with the gold hardware and the shark tooth clasp… I’ve seen it in the flesh and well… its very very cool! Lastly is 6. This cool purse from River Island, Christmas is always the time for a purse upgrade!
- Zara Military Jacket €89.95, 2. Zara Leather Trousers €49.95, 3. River Island Western buckled boots, 4. Zara BobbleHat €7.95, 5. Micheal Kors Bag €245 (reduced from €350 in BTs) 6. River Island Purse
Micellaneous
First up is something I only came across today! 1. The Leanún year planner. Its very similar to the Bando year planner which I use for work, but this one is from an Irish company, and a little more badass! I wouldn’t mind one for personal use! 2. New Tattoos are always on my list, I have 2 planned for the new year but I have my eye on a piece by this incredible artist Lee Brown. his black and white illustrative style is just stunning ❤ 3. is practically anything from the company Wild and Violet. They upcycle all types of vintage crockery which looks awesome, I particularly like this tea set! Last but not least on the wish list is 4. A Pennys gift voucher…. cos well its pennys, you can’t go wrong! 🙂
- Leanún 2017 year planner €30, Lee Brown Tattoo €xxx, Wild & Violet Crockery €15.99- €70, Pennys gift card €5- €200.
Well I hope you’ve enjoyed having a snoop through my wish list, and maybe you’ve gotten a few ideas for yourself! Hopefully the next blog post isn’t too far away but in the meantime lets all try to just go for it in whatever it is we want to do 🙂
